Bear’s Performance Products race axles are forged from “HY-TUF” alloy steel originally developed for highly stressed landing gear in military aircraft. All axles are precision machined to exacting standards. All machining operations (except bearing journal & wheel flange) are finished prior to heat treat. “HY-TUF” AXLES ARE FOR COMPETITION USE ONLY. Bear’s Mild Steel Fabricating housings are one of the strongest on the market. Perfect for mid to high horspower applications. This housing is completely TIG welded to your specifications.
Bear’s 9″ Sheetmetal housings are designed for the serious racer and high horsepower applications. This 4130 housing is TIG welded and utilizes 3 1/4″ x .250″ 4130 tubes and is 40″ wide with centered pinion. Key features include 3/8″ ground faceplate (studs installed), faceplate support gussets, internal rear brace, back brace is fitted but not installed. Will accept 10″ gears (requires faceplate clearance). Add a pair of Bear’s housing ends and 4130 brackets to finish it off. Complete housings also available.
